Server-side events now carry visitor location

Events collected server-side now record the visitor's country, state and city alongside the rest of the event, and that location flows through into reporting.

Why it matters: Regional performance was previously invisible on any traffic flowing through server-side collection. Country-level reporting is live; city-level accuracy is still being improved.

19 August 2026PlatformMilestone

TagPipes now monitors its own pipeline

A monitoring layer that watches the TagPipes collection pipeline itself, separate from the monitoring customers configure for their own data. New checks are added as configuration rather than as a release, and each alert carries its own troubleshooting notes.

Why it matters: Collection problems are now caught by us, usually before a customer notices a gap in their numbers.

11 August 2026EchoUpdate

Google Ads moved to the Data Manager API

Server-side conversion delivery to Google Ads now runs on Google's Data Manager API.

Why it matters: Google is retiring the previous interface. This is done, so no customer action is needed and no conversion delivery is interrupted.

August 2026ShieldReleasev3.8.4 - 3.18.0

Shield: our own consent management platform

TagPipes now includes a full consent management platform: consent banner, preference centre, consent records, an embeddable cookie declaration built from an actual scan of the site rather than a questionnaire, Google Consent Mode v2 support, US state opt-out handling, and consent shared across linked domains. Data subject request handling is live alongside it.

Why it matters: Consent management no longer needs a separate vendor and a separate bill, and the cookie declaration is generated from what the site actually does.

July 2026

July 2026LensMilestone

Lens rebuilt on ClickHouse

Reporting data now lives in a column-store database with a separate database per customer.

Why it matters: Dashboards return faster, larger datasets stay affordable, and reporting volume is no longer the constraint on what can be tracked.

July 2026LookupsRelease

Lookups: turn any reporting table into a live API

Any Lens table can be published as a fast key/value API for a website, tag manager or app, with its own access key and an allowlist of the sites permitted to call it. Product catalogues, store locators, pricing matrices, loyalty tiers.

Why it matters: The data already in your reporting warehouse can now be read live by the site itself, without a separate engineering project.
