What the bcookie cookie does

bcookie is a browser identifier that uniquely identifies devices accessing LinkedIn, and LinkedIn says it uses it to detect abuse on the platform. On other sites it's sent whenever LinkedIn content, a LinkedIn plugin or the LinkedIn Insight Tag loads from linkedin.com.

LinkedIn's cookie table calls it first-party because it's set on linkedin.com. On any other site it appears as a third-party cookie on .linkedin.com. LinkedIn documents a 1 year lifetime.
