What a cookie checker does
A cookie checker loads a web page the way a browser does and records the cookies the page sets. Cookies are small pieces of data a site stores in your browser: some keep you logged in or remember a setting, and others belong to analytics and advertising services that recognize you across pages and sites.
This free cookie scanner opens the address you enter in a real browser, as a first-time visitor who has not accepted a cookie banner, and lists what it found. For each cookie it shows the name, the vendor and category where the name matches the TagPipes Vendor Registry, whether it is first or third party, and the duration the browser recorded. Cookies it cannot match to a vendor stay in the list, flagged as unknown, rather than being hidden or guessed at.
The report is a snapshot of one page load. It does not include cookie values, and it makes no compliance judgment: it describes what was observed, so you can see what a page sets and decide what to do about it.
