TagPipes + BigQuery

Bring BigQuery tables and query results into Lens, including the GA4 export, next to the rest of your data.

Lens: BigQuery as a source

Lens reads tables and query results from your BigQuery project into tables in your own workspace. It does not write to your BigQuery.

How you set it up

  1. Add a Google Cloud service account key in Settings > Security & Access, or grant the TagPipes service account access to the dataset.
  2. In Lens, open Data Tables, click + New Table and choose BigQuery.
  3. Choose a mode: a single table, a table family (for example the GA4 export's events_* tables), or your own SQL query.
  4. Use the test button to check the account can list the dataset. It does not read any data.
What it readsWhatever the table or query returns, including nested fields such as GA4 export event parameters.
CostA dry-run cost estimate is shown before you sync. Each sync runs in your Google Cloud project and is billed there at BigQuery prices.
LimitsFull refresh only. Incremental sync is not supported yet, and the setup screen says so.
PlanIncluded with every Lens plan.

How your data is handled

  • Credentials you add are stored in Settings > Security & Access, and you can remove them there at any time.
  • Each company sees only the data from the accounts and sources it connected.
