TagPipes + Google Search Console
Bring Search Console clicks, impressions and positions into Lens, next to your analytics and ad data.
Lens: Search Console reporting
Lens reads search performance data from your Search Console property and stores it as tables in your own workspace. It changes nothing in Search Console.
How you set it up
- Add a Google sign-in or a service account in Settings > Security & Access.
- Make sure that identity is a user on the exact Search Console property. Domain and URL-prefix properties are different properties.
- In Lens, open Data Tables, click + New Table and choose Search Console.
- Pick the dimensions and search type, then set the schedule.
| What it reads | Clicks, impressions, CTR and average position, by date, query, page, country, device or search appearance. Search types: web, image, video, news, Discover and Google News. |
|---|---|
| Totals that match | Lens keeps the parts it needs to recompute CTR and average position when rows are added up, so totals match Search Console. |
| Grain and history | Daily. The first backfill goes back up to 480 days, which is about all Search Console keeps. Each sync re-reads the last 10 days, because Search Console finalizes data late. |
| Limits | Search Console data runs about 3 days behind. Search appearance cannot be combined with other dimensions, and query rows are subject to Google's anonymized-query filtering. Both are Google's rules. |
| Plan | Included with every Lens plan. |

How your data is handled
- Credentials you add are stored in Settings > Security & Access, and you can remove them there at any time.
- Each company sees only the data from the accounts and sources it connected.
